Hi, I'm Andy Phelps
MY STORY
Andy Phelps is a proud husband, devoted father of two Okemos students, and a candidate for reelection to the Okemos Board of Education.

Andy Phelps and his wife Amanda purchased a home in Okemos in 2009 because it was the perfect place to start a new family. They were excited to be part of a community that highly values the educational experience of all students. Andy and Amanda have since had two children, Leila (8th grade) and Jensen (5th grade) who are enrolled in the Okemos Public Schools.
As a devoted parent, coach, and longstanding member of our community, Andy's dedication to Okemos is unwavering. He understands the significance of collaborative decision-making and the positive impact it can have on our schools. If re-elected, he pledges to continue working tirelessly to uphold the standards of excellence that define Okemos schools and ensure that opportunities for growth and achievement are accessible to all.
Before coming to Okemos, Andy attended Dearborn Public Schools and graduated from Western Michigan University with a degree in Political Science and Economics. He has been a proud employee of the State of Michigan since 2004 in both the Department of Attorney General and now with the Department of Corrections. Andy’s wife, Amanda, is a hairstylist and make-up artist in Meridian Township.
